Recent research revealed that when the Acupuncture needle is inserted into the body it simulates the body to release Adenosine which helps to significantly reduce pain, regulate sleep and decrease inflammation. The study was done at the Center for Translat ional Neuromedicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
Scientists have found that many acupuncture points are related to nerve bundles or muscle trigger points. By stimulating these points pain and discomfort are minimized and calmness is heightened.
